COVID19

HOW MUCH RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID SHOULD I ANTICIPATE AT CAMP?

  • Prior to leaving for Camp, everyone will be asked to complete a COVID screening questionnaire. Anyone who answers yes to the screening questions will be asked to not attend.

  • There is an inherent risk of Covid19 because of the communal/shared nature of meals, housing, and bathrooms. We are working with each facility to limit crowding and minimize risk, but will not be able to eliminate all risk in indoor spaces. We anticipate offering the option to eat outside if you prefer (although you may want to dress for cool weather). And we will work within the spaces provided to allow for distance when possible.

  • All housing is bunk-style, so you will likely share a room with 5-14 people. We are unable to accommodate requests for individual housing.

WHAT ARE THE MASKING EXPECTATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS?

  • We ask for your flexibility in following protocols put in place to protect the most vulnerable who want to attend Camp.

  • A formal decision about masking will be announced closer to Camp.

  • We imagine it may not be realistic to require masking given the communal nature of housing and meals.

  • You will be supported should you choose to wear a mask at any time.

  • We continue to monitor CDC recommendations, best practices, and local regulations as we finalize COVID safety protocols for Camp.

ARE COVID VACCINATIONS REQUIRED?

While we strongly recommend and encourage people to be vaccinated and boosted, vaccinations are not required to attend Camp.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID OR FEEL SICK BEFORE CAMP?

  • Please do not attend if you have tested positive for COVID or are experiencing symptoms of COVID.

  • If you have tested positive for COVID or are exhibiting symptoms of COVID 19 before the start of Camp, you will receive a full refund.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM EXPOSED TO COVID PRIOR TO CAMP?

If you have had a close exposure before the start of camp, contact your staff as soon as possible.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET SICK AT CAMP?

  • Tell your staff immediately.

  • We will have a quarantine space for you while you make arrangements for going home.

  • We are consulting with medical professionals to implement a protocol responding to any sickness that may happen at Camp.

WHAT IF I FEEL SICK AFTER CAMP?

Please let our Camp Registrar know at ivlptraining@intervarsity.org if you have tested positive for Covid19 within 72 hours of leaving Camp. We will notify attendees of possible exposure.

WHAT IF I HAVE A QUESTION NOT ADDRESSED HERE?
